We have been breeding black (and the occasional brown) miniature poodles since 1977. Tanzen poodles have earned not only breed titles, but obedience titles, agility titles, and flyball dog championships as well.
In order to produce the healthiest puppies possible, we use the newest tests available to test for genetic disorders such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy and Canine Hip Dysplasia. Whether destined for the breed ring, the performance ring, or your couch…..all our poodles receive the best care possible.
We extend that excellent care to our client’s dogs, any dog handled in the breed ring is treated like family. All dogs receive the attention to detail that makes all the difference in the ring.
Located just north of Seattle, Washington, we attend shows throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada as well as Poodle Club of America annually.
Who is Tanzen? Candace Hume, mother of two sons, dog handler, dog breeder, groomer, Vet Tech/Office Manager - someone who needs about 27 hours in a day!
Pictured on this page are the black Miniature Poodle male, Am. Can. Ch. Tanzen The Pretender, and the white Miniature female, Ch. Wavir Rave Review. Both are 'ringside' candids, taken at Poodle Club of America (PCA). Eddie was WD at PCA '98, and Rosie was WB at PCA '97
